QED Recruitment Ltd with its sister company has been operating since the beginning of 1978. The majority of the business has been in the areas of oil and gas, chemical process, waste water and water treatment, pharmaceuticals, food and engineering. Within these industry sectors we have covered all of the functions, with a bias towards those which are technically based:
Design – Engineering – Process - Production - Quality.
We handle positions from General Manager down to Technical Clerks.
The following are the key aspects of the way QED Recruitment operates:
Briefing
We only undertake to work for a Client on the basis of a full briefing which will normally include a visit to the Client's premises or manufacturing site.
Assessment and Reporting
Candidates are presented to client companies only after being fully interviewed and assessed by QED Recruitment against a particular job specification. For each candidate presented there is a two part report, one comprising a summary CV in a standard format and the second a commentary on the candidate's suitability for the position in question under a number of relevant headings.
Our objective is to present a "short shortlist" of candidates, all of whom match the agreed specification as much as possible, thus allowing the client to make a proper selection. The assessment of candidates includes any potential areas of difficulties, and candidates are presented in a true and balanced fashion. Our clients appreciate this input as a valuable extra dimension to their own selection procedures.
Database
From the very beginning we invested in a good database. Every candidate with whom we interface is profiled under various headings. Retrieval from the database against job specification is efficient and effective. As the years have gone by, this database has grown, and we are now finding that many more appointments are made from this source.
Advertising
We frequently advertise specific posts on behalf of clients. This can be done under the client's logo, our logo or both. In this way, the client can be assured that all applications are responded to in a professional manner and the process brought quickly and efficiently to the short-list stage, usually in conjunction with candidates sourced from our database.
Headhunt or Executive Search
These activities are suggested only after the database search has been fully exhausted. Also, we only recommend an Executive Search activity for positions at functional management level and above.
